Joshua's Wish, Inc is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to find a cure, increase research funding, and raise awareness for pediatric cancer. Since our establishment in 2010, we have connected with people all over the United States to make a difference in the lives of children suffering from childhood cancer and their families. 2010 Joshua's Art Work

2010 Joshua's Wish First Event
Our first event to spread childhood cancer awareness and Joshua's Wish mission took place at Chuckee Cheese in 2010.

2010 First Annual Joshua's Wish 5K Run/Walk
Our first annual Joshua's Wish 5K Run/Walk took place on Saturday, September 10, 2010 at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. We gave out t-shirts, door prizes, food, face painting, balloon art, Story time with Confetti the Clown, and Party Playground's Trackless train rides for all participants.

2010 Annual Joshua's Wish 5K Run & Walk
On Saturday, September 11, 2010, Joshua's Wish had our first ever 5K Run & Walk for a Cure. So many of our supporters made our first race such a huge success!

2010 Christmas Party
Joshua's Wish met 3 families that have children in treatment at Joshua's 5K Run & Walk. We spread a little Christmas cheer to them with a little Christmas party in their honor.

2010 St. Jude Letter
We received a letter for Dr. Amar Gajjar, Director of Neuro-Oncology at St. Jude thanking us for celebrating what would have been Joshua's 7th birthday.

2011 2nd Annual Joshua's Wish Birthday Bash for a Cure
We had our wonderful emcee Ben Jones and our live band and Bo Ponder of Old Soul performed. Bo Ponder is a legend in his own right. He is one of Macon’s last real soul singers and was a member of the Pinetoppers with Otis Redding and Johnny Jenkins.

2011 Spreading some "gas card love" to our children and families in need
2 year old Aidyn has sacralcoccygeal teratoma. Aidyn has had 25 surgeries and has had to learn how to walk 7 times. He will have his 26th surgery on April 12th to remove his gallbladder. His family lives in Columbus, Georgia and travels to Macon 2 times a week for therapy. Aidyn is precious with beautiful curly hair. Gas is so high! Joshua Wish wanted to spread some “gas card love” to this family and to other families who have to travel a distance to receive treatment.

2011 Brain Tumor Awareness Month Proclamation in Macon, Georgia
The mayor of Macon presented a proclamation with Joshua's Wish proclaiming May as Brain Tumor Awareness Month in the city of Macon.

2011 Macon Amstar Joshua's Wish Booth
Macon Amstar created an awesome table to raise awareness and research funds of Childhood Cancer to support the mission and goals of Joshua's Wish.

2011 Cupcake Sale Donation
Amanda's Cakery sold "Childhood Cancer Awareness Cupcakes" and donated 100% of the sales to Joshua's Wish. That was $860!!

2011 Largest Participant at Joshua's Wish 5K Run & Walk
Mount de Sales Academy students, faculty, and staff walkers represented the largest group at the 2nd Joshua’s Wish 5K Run & Walk with 77 participants raising $1600 to aid in the fight against childhood cancer. MDS cheerleaders provided spirited encouragement for all the walkers.

Macon Amstar 16 and Digiorgio's Pizza brought a smile to a group of children and their families who are battling the toughest battle of their young lives in our Christmas Party.

2012 Sonic and Macon Amstar Fun Day
Sonic and Macon Amstar was kind enough to help us raise childhood cancer awareness during the Mirror Mirror showing staring Julia Roberts. We had a free 'Kids Day' event during the showing with carnival games and bounce houses. Sonic Macon locations collected donations for Joshua's Wish. After the event, they presented Joshua's Wish with a check for $2,300 to help find a cure for these pediatric brain tumors.

The Mayor of Perry Georgia proclaimed May as Brain Tumor Awareness Month in the city of Perry in Memory of Kody Lucas. The proclamation was read at Kody's Perry High School.

DIPG is almost a 100% death sentence at time of diagnosis. Median survival from the time of diagnosis is 6-9 months. Fewer than 1% will survive past 18 months.
